Grisaia: Phantom Trigger Opens Crowdfunding for Improved Production
Mihama Academy is preparing to open its doors yet again for another Grisaia story. And while we can definitely expect to see Grisaia: Phantom Trigger in the near future, Bibury Animation Studios is looking to up the quality.
To that end, the team have opened a crowdfunding campaign on Japanese website Campfire. The funds will go largely toward improving the quality of fight scene animation, but there’s more to it even than that. If the campaign hits its target, Bibury is looking to host a theatrical release in Japan, as well as host events for fans overseas.
Reward tiers start at 17,800 yen, which will get you the episode 1 and 2 Blu-Rays, a copy of the script, and a strip of film from the opening episodes. Higher tiers include shirts, wall scrolls, seats at the show’s theatrical premiere in Japan, and a sketch by character designer Akio Watanabe.
With 60 days left at the time of this writing, the campaign is already 21% funded.
With this news, we also get the first character settings for our new leading ladies:
The first two episodes of Grisaia: Phantom Trigger are due to be released in October.
